Roland Chammas joined Medicana Inc. in 1979 as General Manager. He was President of Medicana Inc. from 1979 to 2001. He is now President of Medicana Systems Inc. and focuses his energy on strategic and financial management for Medicana.
Roland graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelors degree in Sciences in 1978. He pursued his education at Concordia in 1986 and earned an Executive MBA in 1988. Active in the medical device industry, he was appointed In 1991 to the Board of Directors of the Quebec medical device trade association - Association Québecoise des Fabricants de l'industrie Médicale (AQFIM). He served as President of AQFIM from 1997 to 1999.
Along with his brother Chris, Roland defined Medicana's work ethic focusing on commitment, professionalism, and customer service. He maintains ties with several of the Company's key contacts worldwide.
Christian Chammas joined Medicana Inc. in 1982. His activities with the Company took him from technical service to research and development, and later to sales. Now as President, he is leading Medicana's operations and redeployment into the US market.
He spearheaded a number of initiatives at Medicana, including the launch of several new products in the marketplace. Chris plays an important role in defining the Company's strategic plan, sales strategy and marketing objectives. He has also reinforced Medicana's focus on selling to strategically critical customers. His close links with many of Medicana's key customers and worldwide contacts keep him abreast of evolving healthcare needs that shape Medicana's strategic plan.
